About us

Founded in 1956, the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has worked for 70 years to support displaced people in their pursuit of a dignified life.

As Denmark’s largest humanitarian NGO and a leading international organization, DRC works in nearly 30 countries with a dedicated team of around 6,000 employees and thousands of volunteers.

In a world of growing displacement and complex crises, DRC’s mission is more relevant than ever: to protect, advocate for, and enable sustainable futures for those forced to flee.
